Phone Contact

This section defines the consent policy for accessing contacts stored on a monitored device using the MyPhones Agent app.

✅ Purpose of Contact Access

Accessing the contact list is used to:

  • Associate phone numbers with saved names for call/SMS tracking

  • Audit contact creation or updates

  • Monitor communication networks for minors or company devices

📄 Scope of Collected Data

When enabled, the Agent app may collect:

  • Contact names, phone numbers, and email addresses

  • Profile photos (if available)

  • Contact creation and last updated timestamps

  • Associated labels or groups (e.g., Favorites)

  • Device ID linked to each contact

  1. Contact access is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled.

  2. Consent is recorded at the time of feature activation.

  3. Android permissions required: READ_CONTACTS.

  4. Contact data is collected for read-only purposes — not modified or deleted.

  5. Data is encrypted before being uploaded to secure cloud storage.

  6. Collected contact data is visible only to the Admin account.

  7. No contact information is shared with third parties.

  8. The user may disable contact access at any time.

  9. The Admin app or web portal may display contacts alongside call/SMS data.

  10. The Agent app does not sync contacts to or from any third-party platform.

Collecting contact data without clear consent may violate privacy regulations. This feature should only be enabled on devices you legally own or manage, with full transparency.

Responsible and transparent use of contact access is required to protect user privacy and comply with applicable data protection laws.
