Battery Issues

🔋 FAQs – Battery Saving & Background Operation

1. Does the Agent app drain the battery? The Agent app is optimized for background operation and consumes minimal power. However, features like real-time GPS tracking can use more battery, depending on the frequency and accuracy settings.

2. How can I reduce battery usage while using the Agent app? You can configure lower GPS update intervals, disable high-accuracy mode, or turn off features like live tracking when not needed. These options are available in the Admin app or control panel.

3. Will Android automatically kill the Agent app to save battery? On some devices (especially Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung), Android’s battery optimization settings may prevent background services from running properly. We recommend disabling battery optimization for the Agent app.

4. How do I disable battery optimization for the Agent app? Go to: Settings → Apps → MyPhones Agent → Battery → Battery Optimization Then select “Don’t optimize” or “Allow background activity” depending on your Android version.

5. Is there a power-saving mode in the Agent app itself? Yes. The app may include a built-in Battery Saver Mode that reduces data collection frequency and postpones non-critical sync operations when the battery is low.

6. Will the Agent app still work when the screen is off or the phone is idle? Yes — if properly configured and excluded from battery optimization, the app will continue working in the background even when the device is idle.

7. Can I allow GPS tracking only when charging or connected to Wi-Fi? Yes. You can configure settings to limit data uploads or tracking only when the device is charging or connected to Wi-Fi, saving battery and data.

8. Can the Agent app notify me when the battery is low on the target device? Yes. The Admin dashboard or app can be configured to send notifications when the monitored device reaches a low battery threshold.
