Call Logs

This section defines the consent policy for accessing and recording call history on a device using the MyPhones Agent app.

✅ Purpose of Call Log Monitoring

The call log feature provides visibility into the phone call activity of the monitored device. It is intended for:

  • Parent supervision of child call behavior

  • Tracking company device usage

  • Security and contact history auditing

📄 Scope of Collected Data

When enabled, the Agent app may collect:

  • Incoming, outgoing, and missed call entries

  • Phone number and call duration

  • Call direction (inbound or outbound)

  • Timestamp of each call

  • Contact name (if available in the device)

  • Device ID associated with the log

  1. Call log tracking is optional and must be explicitly activated.

  2. Consent is recorded at the time of activation by the user.

  3. Users are informed that call metadata will be collected but not call content.

  4. The app requires Android permissions: READ_CALL_LOG and READ_PHONE_STATE.

  5. The device must not block access to call logs due to Android version or manufacturer policy.

  6. Collected call logs are stored with a timestamp and device ID.

  7. Data is encrypted before being uploaded to the cloud.

  8. Only the authorized Admin account can view call history.

  9. Users may disable this feature at any time via the Admin interface.

  10. No audio from calls is recorded — only metadata is collected.

Accessing call log information without consent may be illegal in some jurisdictions. This feature must only be enabled on devices you own or manage, and with full transparency to the user.

Always ensure compliance with privacy laws when monitoring communication data.
