This section describes the consent requirements for collecting browser history from a monitored device using the MyPhones Agent app.

✅ Purpose of Browser Activity Monitoring

Browser history tracking is designed for:

  • Monitoring the online activity of children or teens

  • Identifying inappropriate or harmful websites

  • Auditing company-owned devices for compliance

📄 Scope of Collected Data

When enabled, the Agent app may collect:

  • Website URLs visited (HTTP/HTTPS)

  • Page titles (if available)

  • Timestamp of visits

  • Browser type (e.g., Chrome, Firefox)

  • Visit frequency or duration (if supported)

  • Device ID linked to each entry

  1. Browser tracking is optional and must be explicitly activated.

  2. Consent is recorded with a timestamp and device-user association.

  3. Users are informed that only browsing metadata is collected.

  4. The app does not record page content or private credentials.

  5. Data access depends on browser compatibility and Android version.

  6. The app may require USAGE_STATS Accessibility Service permissions.

  7. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

  8. Only authorized Admin accounts may view collected data.

  9. No browsing data is shared with any third parties.

  10. Users may disable browser tracking at any time from the Admin dashboard.

Accessing web history from another person’s device without consent may violate data protection laws. Use this feature only on devices you own or manage, with explicit and documented consent.

Responsible use of browsing history features is critical. Always respect privacy laws and ethical guidelines.
